This site was created so that additional information, pictures and videos could be shared. This Fluffy Dog is being fostered in St. Charles, IL by Joan and Bob. They are lifelong animal lovers and have three dogs and several cats of their own. They began fostering for Fluffy Dog Rescue in December 2014. (They fostered two dogs, Patience and Phoebe, before the creation of this blog)

Videos!

I made it to my mom's house today to get some pictures and video of Lydia.  As Mom has been telling me Lydia is doing just great.  My mom met a friend for lunch today and left Lydia out of the crate with the other three dogs and all was good when she got home.  Mom is retired so Lydia is out and about most of the day anyway but Mom has been crating her when she goes out.  Today she gave Lydia a little more freedom and Lydia did great.  Good girl!  (She's been with Mom and Bob for about 2 weeks now)

About a week ago Mom took Lydia to the vet's to get a microchip.  Lydia was great.  She was happy and social with all the people in the clinic.  They loved her there.  All Fluffy Dogs are microchipped so  that the forever family can register the chip in their name.  We hope that our Fluffy Dogs never get lost but if they do at least they'll have a microchip that identifies their family.

Lydia was very happy to see me when I got to Mom's house.  She showered me with kisses.  She then flitted and floated around for a few minutes.  She is not high energy but will have lots of enthusiasm when you come in the door.  Mom said Lydia is a cuddle bug at heart and you can see from the pictures in prior posts that she does love her snuggle time.

Mom and Bob call Lydia "peanut" but you can name her anything you'd like.  Lydia just didn't roll off the tongue.  And, to them, she's a cute little "peanut."  If you are interested in her though make sure you reference "Lydia" in any correspondence with Fluffy Dog Rescue as Lydia is her official rescue name.

Enjoy the pictures and videos below.  We put Mom's other dogs behind a gate at one point so we could get pictures and video of just Miss Lydia.  So, if you see some sad souls looking mournfully behind a gate it was only for a few minutes so we could have some uninterrupted time with Lydia.

Showing she can "sit"

Everyone waiting for a treat.  Beagles are Maggie and Max.  Shihtzu is Mickey.  Lydia is about the same size as Mickey.

With Tuffy the cat.  My mom couldn't remember exactly but said Tuffy is probably about 18-19 years old.

Such a darling girl.  My mom thinks Lydia will always have a "puppy" look to her.  Gosh, I wish I could keep the youthful glow forever too!

Happy face

Whatca doin' with that camera?  Got a treat for me?

Sometimes the one ear flips up

Snapped the picture right as the tongue came out

Below are some videos.  The first is from two weeks ago when Lydia was at my house on her first day in IL/WI.  We had snow and in all likelihood it was her first snow ever.  She had fun!  (Ignore my agility equipment.  My poodle and I do agility together and I had to pile up my equipment on the patio because of the snow.)

The other videos are from today.  You'll see that Lydia was excited to see me but she settled down after I was there a few minutes as shown in the subsequent videos.  We believe she's a young girl and her youth and zest for life show.  But she's also a girl who has never met a lap she didn't like.   Sometimes I will edit the videos and take out the background noise but with the holiday crunch upon us I don't have too much time yet I want to share these with you.  So, you get them in the "raw."  Please ignore the TV, the phone ringing, etc.
