Before Strudel arrived at her Northern Illinois foster home she spent a couple weeks in an Alabama foster home.   Below I've included what her AL foster mom had to say about her.  You'll see that she was shy at first but began to open up after a few days.

Here in Illinois Strudel's foster mom and dad adore her.  She is a wonderful little girl who does great with their three dogs.  She is good about finding toys to entertain herself.  Her foster dad tells me that today she found a ball and was rolling it around and chasing it.  She is a young girl but not high energy.  Sure she loves some play time but she also enjoys just cuddling on the sofa.  

She is a shy girl and will look to her family for reassurance when new people come in the house.  She just needs a little time and a little encouragement to meet new people. On the positive side...she won't be jumping up on your guests...but she won't run away either.  She'll stay close to her family and look for clues on what to do.

Post 1...They both just want love..... but are so fearful of getting it. They bark at my children and any one else that enters the room. They adore me and Strudel has accepted my daughter.... they are both still terrified of the boys. But, shake and cringe for love. The boys have to sit in the floor and persuade them to come.... it is so hard to watch because they are itching for the petting and love but so scared to accept it. 

Post 2...OMG.... what a LOVE. She is super soft but a short coat. She is definitely a Chi mix. She has a wonderful personality and my daughter has claimed her as her room mate. She is a little less nervous than Gunny but still Chi like in that she shakes and is fearful of things. 

Post 3....Strudel is a sweet friendly little girl. She is a determined hunter and has a nose for the chipmunks and mice in the back yard and garage. That instinct may contribute to her persistent excitement concerning the cats! She has a permanent and adorable smile that shows off her teeth. Her coat is so soft and does not require grooming. She enjoys exploring the back yard and potties outside consistently. Strudel loves the other dogs and is often cuddled with her buddies at nap time. 

Both are young and playful. They like other dogs..... bark at cats.
